Linda K. Swick, age 79, of Mattoon passed away on February 15, 2026 at the Odd Fellow Rebekah Home Harmony Center.

Funeral services honoring her life will take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Schilling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.

Linda was born on June 19, 1946 in Coles County, Ill. the daughter of Othel and Margaret (Bailey) Swick.

Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Stokes and Mary Jane Cash; nieces and nephews, Terri (Tom) Janes, Mitch (Jody) Cuffle, Jason (Jill) Callahan and Jimmy Gillespie; great nieces and nephews, Amanda (Duane) VanScyoc, Bonnie (Brian) Heaton, Andy (Gwen) Janes, Bailey (Ed) Briscoe, Garrett Cuffle, Emlie Weaver and Jacob Callahan; great-great nieces and nephews, Colton VanScyoc, Madison, Addlynn and Bella Heaton, and Teddy Janes. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda dedicated her life to caring for others. She began her career as a CNA and later earned her RN. She worked at the old hospital and later worked many years in the Emergency Room. Linda loved to travel and enjoyed trips to the Bahamas, Hawaii, and Mexico. She also enjoyed gambling trips and listening to her favorite music, especially Jimmy Buffett. Linda dearly loved her family and took great joy in spoiling her nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her caring heart, fun spirit, and always having the coolest cars.
