Shirley Ann Wohler, 89, of Coloma passed away Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at A Place Called Home in Stevensville.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, at Salem Lutheran Church in Coloma. The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or Caring Circle Hospice. Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
Shirley was born July 30, 1936, in Steele, Mo., to George Malcolm and Lorene (Hutson) Hicks. She had been an active member of Salem Lutheran Church over the years. She was also a member of the Berrien County GOP and Michigan Republican Party. During her career in government, she held various executive positions with the Department of Human Services, Michigan Works, and Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency of Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties. For the many years her children were in school, she was also very active in the PTO.
Shirley is survived by her children: Keith Wade, Sheri Schaub, Kaye (Kurt) Krieger, Lorie (Bill) Stroud and Kellie Smith. Also surviving is a stepdaughter, Pat (Bill) Kronbetter; two stepsons: Alan Wohler, Michael (Jaime) Wohler; a brother, Calvin Hicks; 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert in 2007 whom she married July 3, 1982; a daughter, Shirl Sarters; a granddaughter, Taylor Smith; and a great-grandson, Hudson Smith.
