Carol Ann Malich, 84, of Benton Harbor passed away on Feb. 19, 2026, at Corewell Health Lakeland, St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be at noon on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Watervliet. Memorial donations in Carol's memory may be made to the Humane Society. Carol was born April 14, 1941, in Benton Harbor to Harold and Rose Remer. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart of Mary in Sister Lakes and worked for numerous insurance and advertising agencies, including MetLife and LaSalle. Carol was a member of the Southwest Michigan Car Collectors and the Rod Knockers Car Club and had a love for crafting, where she enjoyed stamping and card making and attending craftathons with several friends.
Christmas time was a favorite of Carol's, as well as writing poems and letters to friends. Carol had dates that were important to her, that she remembered forever. June 17, 1966, Vern sent her flowers; Dec. 24, 1966, Vern and Carol went shopping for a ring, Dec. 25, 1966, Vern told Mrs. M. they were engaged; Dec. 26, 1966, Vern showed Carol the ring and on Dec. 30, 1966, the ring was hers forever! Shortly after, Carol and Vern were married on June 7, 1968.
Carol is survived by her husband, Vern and many cousins in Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
