Richard Wright Obituary

Wright, Richard "Rick" Lee
Richard Lee Wright, age 71, of Lowell, Michigan passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 2, 2024. Rick was born on September 21, 1952. Rick was one of the most loving people in the world. He would do anything to help anyone. If his roof was leaking and you called asking for help, he would stop what he was doing and come to help you instead of fixing his own roof. This is the kind of person Rick was. He was a kind and loving father. One of the best. Even with fears as a young man of being able to raise children, he surpassed the odds and became one of the best fathers ever known. He was adored by his children with all the laughing and fun games he'd come up with like silly string and rubber band wars down the hallway. He was full of life, and you never knew when he'd be up to no good. He had a look in his eye that would tell you to watch out. He was also an avid fisherman and spent many hours fishing on the flat river catching dinner for his family with his kids by his side. They spent hours fishing with him and loved it. He also loved to build and work with wood and was quite talented at it. Everything was always perfect and so beautiful when it was finished. Everyone loved his work. Rick will be forever missed and loved by all who have been touched by him. Rick is survived by his wife Lynda, children Andrew (Rachel) Wright, and Jessica (Lyle) Short, grandchildren Acacia, Louise, Levi (Short), Nolan, and Emmett (Wright), brother Harold Wright, sisters Sherry and Shirley (Jim), and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Mable and Roby Wright, brother Gordon Wright, and nephew Eric Gillette. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2pm with visitation one hour prior at Clarksville Bible Church, 191 S Main St., Clarksville, MI 48815. Rev Tim officiating.

I'll always remember the week we spent at your house and I accidentally crashed the riding lawn mower into the side of the garage! I was scared Uncle Rick was mad but he just looked at me and asked if I was okay. He will live in my heart and memories for the rest of my life. Sending all my love to my Aunt Lynda, Jessica, Andrew and their families....keep looking up!
