Green Creek, NC - Philip Grant Effler, 79, of Green Creek, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
Philip was born in Green Creek, NC, retired from Freeman Gas Company, was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran, and of the Baptist faith. He loved his family, his furbaby "Sissy", fishing, working on cars, his 1948 Plymouth, and the outdoors.
Surviving is a daughter, Candace Effler Plemons (David) of Cowpens; three grandchildren, Sarah Gochneaur (Dean), Brandon Plemons (Madi) and Hannah Tiede (Isaiah Peterson). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tanya Tiede.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 AM in the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ray Heffner officiating. Interment, with military honors, will be in the State Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Brandon Plemons, 124 East Greenwood Avenue, Chesnee, SC 29323.
