Linda Marie (Boehler) Salter

September 27, 1949 - January 13, 2026

Linda Marie (Boehler) Salter, 76, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, passed away on January 13, 2026, at Longview Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 27, 1949, in Missouri Valley to Louis and Marie (Mose) Boehler. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1967.

On November 11, 1967, Linda was united in marriage to the love of her life, Stanley Salter in Missouri Valley. They were blessed with three children: daughter Deena and sons Ryan and Scott.

Linda worked as a farm wife for many years until their children arrived and after they got old enough, she worked as a 911 dispatcher for Harrison County Sheriff's office for 16 years until they moved to Storm Lake, Iowa, where she worked at Iowa Office Supply for a few years and finally before retiring she worked at Hope Harbor at Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake for a few years where she met many special friends.

She loved spending time with family, loved camping in the northern states, especially the Peninsula of Michigan, loved spending time quilting and of course material shopping for the next quilting project, and loved going to Las Vegas to meet up with her brother.

She is survived by her loving husband Stan, daughter Deena and husband Jamie Ellison of Missouri Valley, son Scott and wife Jennifer Salter of Sergeant Bluff; grandchildren Colton (Tessie) Ellison, Layne (Kenzie) Ellison, Landyn Ellison and Ashlynn Salter; best friend/lap buddy Kota; brother George Boehler; and many other relatives and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Louis and Marie Boehler, infant son Ryan Lee Salter, and stepsister Sunne Preston.

Visitation will be held 4 pm to 7 pm, Friday, January 23, 2026, at Hennessey Funeral Home. Prayer Service will follow at 7 pm.
