Johnny Yarbro Obituary

Johnny Yarbro, 65, of Brighton, passed away on Wednesday, October 29 at his home surrounded by his family. Johnny was a contractor by trade and built a number of houses throughout the area. After he ended his building career, he went to work doing maintenance for MPC in Brighton. He was a lifelong member of the Brighton ARP Church and through the years, he served as both a Deacon and an Elder. He was a devoted family man and loved his kids and grandkids immensely. When his kids were growing up, Johnny often coached their various ball teams. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Pam Yarbro; two daughters, Jennifer (Brad) Templeton and Jimi Kaye Yarbro, both of Brighton; two son, Clay (Jessica) Yarbro and Jonathan Owen Fowlkes, both of Brighton; his parents, John "Wink" and Ina Yarbro; his in-laws, Jimmy and Frances Jackson; four sisters, Wanda Smith, Jenine Jenkins, Chris Harrison and Lisa Post and six grandchildren, Slade Templeton, Kase Templeton, Cole Templeton, Autumn Yarbro, Maddison Yarbro and Nova Yarbro. He was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Deina Yarbro and one brother, Lance Edward Rowland. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 1 at the Covington Funeral Home chapel with interment to follow in Morrison's Cemetery in Brighton, The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
