Carri Wolfe Obituary

Carri Jo Wolfe, formerly of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on December 2, 2024, in Lake Zurich, Illinois. She was born on April 14, 1967, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to John and Shirley Wolfe.

Carri faced the challenges of Down syndrome and congenital heart defects with remarkable strength and resilience, living a life that was truly a testament to her spirit. In 1985, she moved with her parents to Mesa, Arizona, where she became an active participant in the MARC Center and the Special Olympics. Carri graduated from Mountain View High School and attended several churches in the area, finding joy and community in her faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley Wolfe. Carri is survived by her brother Doug Wolfe (Julie) of Gilbert, Arizona; her sister Kaleen Marshall (Wally) of Algonquin, Illinois; her only niece Dana Clark of San Tan Valley, Arizona; her favorite nephew, Matthew Wolfe of Havelock, North Carolina; Jacob Wolfe of Oceanside, California; Thomas Wolfe of San Tan Valley, Arizona; Jeffrey Marshall of Chicago, Illinois; Jonathan Marshall of Pingree Grove, Illinois; and Landon Wolfe of Lowell, Michigan. Carri also leaves behind 15 great-nieces and nephews who brought her immense joy. She was deeply loved by her entire family and will be profoundly missed.

The family will honor Carri's life with a celebration in the spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Copa Health / MARC at 924 N. Country Club Dr., Mesa, AZ 85201. Those wishing to reach out to the family may do so via email at [email protected].

Carri's life was an inspiration to all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to those she touched.
