I met Jackie when we started working at a school in Brooklyn. We became friends and often spoke about our husbands We said many cute and silly things about them I told her that my husband was a very private person and had a very hairy chest A few weeks later, we went to a party where we met each other's husband Jackie, the conservative proper lady said to my husband as we were leaving " I know you have a hairy chest" No my husband did not kill me !!! I always teased her about that We laughed every time I loved her dearly and will remember her always

Jen, Deb, and family, your are in our hearts and thoughts. Jackie was generous and kind to us. She fondly remember spending summers at the Ellens farm in Michigan. She warmly returned those visits by hosting us in Brooklyn and sharing her city with us. Julie, me (Rocky), our adult children, Aaron and Elizabeth, and her deceased cousin, my mom, Bobbie Jo Ellens, are all eternally grateful. Jackie will be missed. We are glad she lived a long and full life and no longer is suffering with Parkinson's. We'll done Jackie! You and Dick created a wonderful legacy.

Our family (Rocky, Julie, Aaron, Elizabeth) visited Jackie at her home in Brooklyn. We have such fond memories; cooking in her tiny kitchen, meals and great conversation around the dining room table, taking the Q line into the city, visiting the Rose Planetarium, listening to her stories and her wisdom, and experiencing her love of family. There is grief in her loss but much gratitude from her living!!!
