In Loving Memory of Thomas "Tommy" Angle

1945 - 2026



It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Angle, who left us on March 20, 2026, following a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer, facing his final challenge with the same grit and determination that defined his life on the ice and in the boardroom.



Tom's greatest pride was his family and his absence will be deeply felt by his devoted wife of 56 years Janelle Angle (nee' Beaudry), who stood by him through every season of his life. His fortitude and guidance will be remembered by his two sons Jason (Julien), Kevin (Sara) and granddaughter Natalie, who brought him immense joy. Tom was the beloved son of the late Tom and Mildred Angle (nee' Leather), and a dear brother to Leonard, Brian, and Bruce. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, resilience, and a love for life.



Long before his distinguished career, "Tommy" Angle was a legend on the ice. During the early '60s, Tom made a name for himself in the highly competitive Montreal Metropolitan Junior Hockey League (MMJHL). Whether he was sporting #9 for the N.D.G. Monarchs in '61 or lighting up the scoreboard during his breakout 1964-65 season with the Maisonneuve Braves, Tom was a formidable offensive force, whose speed and scoring touch earned him a reputation as a top-tier competitor.



Off the ice, Tom transitioned his competitive spirit into a distinguished career in the pulp and paper industry. Tom quickly became a respected leader for Beloit Canada, eventually relocating the family to their U.S. division. He would go on to serve most notably as Vice President of sales for Valmet in Charlotte, North Carolina. Tom was a visionary who bridged the gap between Finnish innovation and North American manufacturing, overseeing some of the most complex industrial projects.
