Penelope Leas Obituary
Beyond her accomplishments as an award-winning writer and court reporter, Pennie was known for her vibrant spirit, quick wit, and the simple joys she cherished. She found happiness in writing, photography, reading, a shaded porch at the beach, the music of Jimmy Buffett, travel, and spending time with family. She had spent the most recent years traveling all over the US in her travel van with her beloved cats Harley and Roxie.
Above all, Pennie was a devoted mother to her three daughters Megan Brune, Laura Pittman, and Meredith Leas. She was also a proud grandmother to her four grandchildren Aiden Hocken, Liam Pittman, Colin Pittman, and Savannah Pittman. Her love, guidance and unwavering support will continue to live on through all of them. She possessed a tough compassion and clever sense of humor that will be missed by many.
Pennie will be remembered for her creativity, colorful stories, and the lasting impact she made on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
