Margaret Woollen Obituary

Margaret Farmer Woollen

July 31, 1953 - March 31, 2026

Charlotte, North Carolina - Margaret Farmer Woollen, 72, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2026.

Born on July 31, 1953, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Margaret was the beloved daughter of the late James and Marjorie Farmer.

Margaret is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Woollen; her cherished daughter, Memory Woollen Morgan; her precious granddaughter, Eowyn Memory Morgan; her brother, Frank Farmer; and a host of dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Affectionately known also as "Maggie" to many of her friends and family members, she was a gifted writer whose words reflected her thoughtful spirit and creative soul. Besides writing, she enjoyed her family and friends, travel, reading, art, and lots of laughter. She had a special way of connecting with others and putting them instantly at ease through her kindness, insight, warmth, and genuine love of people.

A celebration of Maggie's life will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service, 1111 East Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28203, followed by a time of fellowship and remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
