Concord, North Carolina - Mr. Jack H. Ward of Concord, NC passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

Memorial service begins Fri., March 20, 2026 at Wilkinson Funeral Home: 100 Branchview Dr. NE Concord. Visitation, 11:00am; Funeral service, 12:30pm. Born Aug. 4, 1947, Jack Ward lived a life defined by resilience, service, and devotion to faith and family. In 1967, Jack "DOC" became a U.S. Navy Corpsman and served with the Marines during the Vietnam War. Jack and Karen married in 1975 and raised 2 children. He held many distinguished titles, most notably serving as the NC American Legion Riders Director and Commander for multiple American Legion posts. Jack was deeply devoted to those he served and to his country. He was a great husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather.

Jack was blessed with 50 years of marriage, 78 years of life. Incredibly grateful for the people in his life, Jack also loved fishing, boating, hunting, gardening, traveling, and Harley Davidsons. He believed life was defined by the love we share and the difference we make in the lives of others. Until we meet again in heaven, 'Welcome Home," Dad.

Jack is survived by: Wife: Karen Joy Ward; Children: Christopher Alan Ward, wife Stephanie Fox Ward, Concord, NC and Stephanie Ward Dellinger, husband Jeremy Shane Dellinger, Waxhaw, NC. Grandchildren: Ellie Ward, Ayden, Asher, Addie, and Annie Dellinger.
